DRAFT — for review
This is a plain-language draft pending legal review. It is not final and is not legal advice. The binding policy will be published before launch.

1. The short version

We collect the contact and identity information you give us so you can sign in and so your clubs' invoices can be matched to you, and we work with a payments processor to take payments for your clubs. We do not sell your personal information. We do not store your full card number or bank account number.

2. Information we collect

Account and login: your phone number and/or email address (used to send one-time sign-in codes and to match your invoices), and the one-time codes themselves (stored only as a secure hash, briefly).

Profile: your name and date of birth, which you provide to complete your profile and which clubs use to match invoices.

Billing data from your clubs: invoices, account balances, payment history, and saved-method labels (for example, "Visa ending 4242"). This comes from your clubs through Sportamingo's backend; the clubs are the source of record.

Payments: when you pay, your card or bank details are collected directly by our payments processor through secure hosted fields. Sportamingo receives only a token and a masked label — never your full card number or full bank account number.

Support: the messages, subject, and any invoice reference you include when you contact support.

Technical: basic request information such as your IP address and app version, used for security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.

3. How we use it

We use your information to sign you in, match and display your invoices, process the payments you authorize, send receipts and account notifications (by text and email, per your preferences), provide support, keep the service secure, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

Your clubs: the clubs that bill you receive the payment and account information needed to manage your account with them.

Our payments processor: to tokenize your payment method and move money for your clubs.

Service providers: vendors that help us send text messages and email and operate the service, under contracts that limit their use of your information.

Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or Sportamingo.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Receipts and notifications

You control whether Sportamingo sends you receipts by text and by email from your profile preferences. Some account- and security-related messages are necessary to operate the service and may be sent regardless of those preferences.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required to meet legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. One-time codes are short-lived and are invalidated after use or expiry.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure sessions, hashing of one-time codes, and processor-hosted payment fields so sensitive card and bank numbers never reach our servers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

8. Your choices

You can review and update your profile, manage your receipt preferences, add or change the contact methods used to match your invoices, and manage saved payment methods and autopay from within the app. To request access to or deletion of your information, contact us through the Help center; some information may be retained where the law requires.

9. Children

The app is intended for adults and guardians paying on behalf of participants. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product changes; we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. For privacy questions, reach us from the Help center in the app.
